Our outpatient addiction medicine program delivers patient-centered, nonjudgmental, evidence-based care for people living with substance use disorders.

We can support you at all stages of recovery—whether you are just beginning your journey or stepping down from higher levels of care such as partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient programs. 

Our office is located in Englewood, New Jersey, but many of our services are available virtually for patients in northern New Jersey.

We treat a wide range of addictive substances, including:

  • Alcohol
  • Opioids
  • Tobacco
  • Cocaine
  • Benzodiazepines
  • Kratom

We also offer treatment for gambling disorder.

Our Services

Medications for Addiction Treatment

We offer FDA-approved medications to support withdrawal management, reduce cravings, and promote long-term recovery. Medications offered include:

  • Buprenorphine (including long-acting injections) — Helps people with opioid addiction by easing withdrawal symptoms, reducing cravings, and lowering the risk of relapse
  • Naltrexone / Vivitrol — Used for opioid addiction and alcohol use disorder. It works by blocking the effects of opioids and helping reduce urges to drink or use
  • Acamprosate — Helps people who want to stay alcohol-free by reducing cravings and discomfort after stopping alcohol
  • Chantix (varenicline) — Helps people quit smoking or vaping by reducing nicotine cravings and making smoking less satisfying
  • Bupropion — A medication that can help people stop smoking by easing cravings and withdrawal symptoms
  • Nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) — Products like patches, gum, or lozenges that give small, controlled amounts of nicotine to help reduce withdrawal while quitting tobacco

Therapeutic Support

Individual counseling and group therapy provided by a dually licensed clinical social worker/clinical alcohol and drug counselor (offered in person or virtually):

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), including distress tolerance and emotion regulation
  • Rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT)
  • Evidence-based substance use counseling modalities

Additional services include:

  • Relapse prevention skills
  • Drug and alcohol education
  • 12-step education and SMART Recovery
  • Family support group

We are proud to be a SMART Recovery Multiple Pathways Partner, committed to educating and supporting clients in all of the mutual support pathways available to them. 

Referrals to higher levels of care when needed, including:

  • Intensive outpatient programs (IOP)
  • Partial hospitalization programs (PHP)
  • Inpatient rehabilitation
  • Inpatient psychiatric treatment at Englewood Hospital
