Englewood Hospital Earns National Recognition for Patient Safety

Hospital Achieves Leapfrog 'A' for Spring '25 and Marks 24th Rating Period with Top Safety Grade

May 1, 2025 — Englewood Hospital has been awarded an ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group for spring 2025, marking the 24th time the hospital has achieved this top safety rating and earning Englewood Hospital national recognition for patient safety.

“Achieving an ‘A’ grade from The Leapfrog Group, again this rating period, means our entire team is consistently pulling in the same direction to ensure patient safety,” says Kathleen Kaminsky, MS, RN, NE-BC, senior vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer at Englewood Hospital. “The dedication of our team members and their abiding commitment to quality care and the safety of our patients is what this ‘A’ grade represents. The Leapfrog Safety Grade is determined through a rigorous evaluation of national performance measures from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Leapfrog Hospital Survey, and additional data sources. These measures create a composite score that reflects a hospital’s ability to protect patients from preventable harm and medical errors.
